SEA kayak rental

At MAYUC kayak, you can rent everything you need for your next paddling adventure! You can pick it up the equipment på Tangen, Sauda.

  • Single Sea kayaks - Boreal Design Baffin ( P1, P2, P3 or T2 (ABS) )

  • Paddles, vests and spraydecks

  • Other paddle equipment

  1. If you are going to paddle alone and renting a single kayak. Is required that you have a personal certificate from the Norwegian Paddle Association’s  VÅTTKORT (Wet-card), EPP-2 or BCU-2 STAR/Coastal Sea Kayak Awards. Without this, it will be difficult for us to rent you a kayak and you must have previous paddling experience.

  2. The age limit for renting a kayak without a guardian is 16 years.

  3. All kayaks are equipped with paddle leash; it must not be removed from the kayak during the rental period.

Prices for rent a SINGEL KAYAK:

UP to 3 hours - 380 NOK.

1 day - 550 NOK.

2 days - 980 NOK.

3 days - 1500 NOK.

4 days - 1850 NOK.

5 days - 2350 NOK.

 

NOTE. T2 (ABS) kayaks will cost you an additional of 250 NOK.

Booking and Payment :

 

  • Reservations are made on our Enquiry Form here on our webside.​

  • Payment can be made bank transfer or Vipps after you get an email confirmation on your booking. 

Pickup and return of rental gear:

  1. Pickup of the equipment: 09.00

  2. Returning equipment: 17:30 til 18:00

  3. Both kayak and equipment should be cleaned for the next customer to use.

  4. If you prefer not to clean your kayak, we can do it for you. This service costs NOK 200,- / kayak.

  5. If you return the equipment later than 18:30, we will charge you probably NOK 250,- for every hour you are late.

Additional :

  • Pick up service kayak for NOK 500.- ( max. 4 kayak / up to 50 km. distance )

Disclaimer deal:

  • You must be able to swim and have Våttkort (NPF) or similar sea kayak certification.

  • At least one person in the group must have their VÅTTKORT or similar kayak licence.

  • Children (minimum 12 years) must be accompanied by an adult and supervised at all times.

  • Use neoprene paddling shoes or water-resistant light shoes/sandals. NO heavy (hiking) boots or similar.

  • You are an experienced paddler and know how to do the self-rescue, we recommend you do not paddle alone.

  • You must always have a PFD when you and your kayak are on the water.

  • If you come back late, you are obliged to notify us no later than 17:00.

  • If you behave in an unsuitable manner (not respecting the public right, not wearing PFD) or influence of alcohol, drugs, psychiatric drugs or any similar substances, ​MAYUC kayak has the right to take back all hired equipment without reimbursement.

  • Kayak rented from MAYUC kayak is at your own risk. Accidents can happen without any contributory negligence from the MAYUC kayak or its staff. MAYUC kayak will NOT have any responsibility for loss or damage to personal property or for personal injury arising as a result of its own act or default. You are responsible for paddling in accordance with applicable regulations.

  • When you return, the rented equipment must be cleaned and in the same condition as it was when you left. If not, we will charge you for the cleaning or repair of the kayak.

  • If you damage kayak or other equipment, you are responsible for any costs to replace or repair it.

  • MAYUC kayak commits to rent kayaks and equipment in good condition suitable for use in our environment.
